Purchasing New Mazda3 - help!
I'm planning to buy a 2010 mazda3 isport this week or next... MSRP is 17.9 and I got one dealer down to 16.4... Is this good? There are no rebates offered from mazda right now... But do you think around Memorial Day they will have a rebate? This is my first time buying a new car and any advice would be appreciated thank you!

Do you know anyone that works for Ford or their suppliers that can get an X-plan Pin number? That transfer to a Mazda S-plan.
The price does not seem that bad. Go to a different dealer with the price the one dealer is going to give (Taking a picture of the deal sheet with a camera phone helps) and see if they will beat it.

Go to carsdirect.com and input everything (model & options) to get a firm quote. My sis is also looking at a new 3 and it quoted $300 over invoice. You should be able to buy for that (I bought my 3 at invoice) or less.
I've used carsdirect.com for the last 3 cars, you can just print the price that is quoted and take it to your dealer then tell them to match it, or you can follow the carsdirect process and purchase haggle free from their dealer---- the downside is that the dealer they use may or may not be the one closest to you.
I used to sell cars before the day of the internet, nowadays everyone can easily find the invoice price and negotiate up from there instead of down from sticker. Just watch out for all the add-ons in the back office once you've agreed on the price of the car...........good luck!

I paid $15,200 for my 3i touring automatic. Thats including getting $500 off for taking the 60 months 0% financing which came in handy since I had yet to get my check from the insurance company for my totaled Mazda6.
Wanted a manual but didn't want to buy an out of town vehicle unseen as there wasn't any available locally when I needed it.
