Default Radio controls/display lights pulsating

Hi Everyone!

I have a 2006 Mazda3 s Grand Touring (I'm the original owner). The other day I noticed that the lights on my center console/radio controls/display began pulsating. The pulsating is inconsistant (it doesn't always do it), and there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason as to when it does it. My headlights, dash display and other lights in the car do not appear to be pulsating, just the radio controls and display, which leads me to suspect (and hope) it's the radio/display unit and not an electrical system or battery connection problem.

Has anyone had this problem, or know what it may be?

Thanks for any help or advice you can offer!

Beth

Can't say I have, though I have noticed that the electrical/charging systems in this car are not a stable as they could be.
As the owner of an '06 your car should still be under warranty. If you're sure that this wasn't happening before I'd take it to the dealer for a look... and don't take "no" as their answer.Dealers like to say no, especially to womenthey think have no idea what they're talking about,so don'tlet 'em. Give 'em hell, Beth.

I have an 07 3 and I have noticed this once or maybe twice. It is not consistant. However, I did notice my music was above normal loudness. Most of my accesories were on, which lead me to suspect that I was overworking my alternator. Cause this was happening at idle, alt not spinning fast. And, the radio gauge was flickering to my music.

I would not worry about it.

Happened in all my other cars at idle and mirrors were shakin.

(course I am deaf now............)
