My 05 3 2.3 liter is making a rattling noise when i am at a stop. It only makes the noise when the car is in drive and the car is at a complete stop with the brake depressed. The car also shakes more. As soon as i let off the brake the noise and shaking go away. I had someone sit in the driver seat and press the brake down so i could looked under the hood. I tried to pin point the rattling but had no luck. I have also noticed that my engine was shaking more. Anyone have any thoughts? I would really like to avoid going to a mechaninc. Thanks for any help.

 

have ou checked your exhaust? the last time i thought my engine was rattling, i thought it was my transmission, but it was my mid-pipe...idk if that helps at all, but i wish you the best.

 

Check your engine mounts, Lev, especially the one called #3 on the RS just over the drive belts. It"s fluid filled and is known/prone to leak and go bad. There is a TSB on this one.
