Default Rear Seat Sub

Does anyone know if there's room under the rear seat for a sub or is it mounted flat to the floor? - thanks

the rear seat would not be a good place for a subwoofer. uness you got a female in the car :P :P. sorry if your a female btw aha. but anyway the rear seat would be wayyyyyyy too shallow for a sub anyhow. if you turned up your music your rear seat would come out. do waht i did. put them in the trunk. if you just want one put it to hte side so you can still fit all of your **** in there. just my 02.c

Jaimie, did you put yours to the side or do you have them against the seat back? If you put them to the side, did you cover them so you can hardly see them? If I put one in, I want it as hidden as possible. I have no interest to show one off and I just want the trunk to be fairly stock looking. - thx

me, no. mine are out in the open... well so to speak. i got 4 10"s lol.however there are boxes/sub/amp combos you can get to basically fit so that it is to the side of the trunk. go to your nearest audio place and talk to them about something like that. mind you it is guaranteed gonna cost you more then it would for a normal set of box/amp/subs because you are making it custom.

I put ONE 12 inch and it sounds great. Still have plenty of room in the trunk for my stuff. Make sure to out a grill over the sub. As far as hiding it good luck, just dont leave the trunk open...

Yeah the rear seat cushion sits directly on top of the floor pan, and the gas tank is on the other side of that. Unless your sub is as thick as a piece of paper it's not going to work there.

Just stick it in the trunk. I have a 10" and I'm perfectly content.

4 10" woofers, jaimie? You do SPL comps or something? I don't see how someone can stand that much bass.

I have yes. but im 19 years old lol. and i wonder why my car keeps getting pulled over for noise pollution. anyway as well as that it never bothers me i love the bass. you get anyone else in my car they will just hate you for it. especially my mom.. lol. when i went for a new job i had to take a medical and they tested my hearing. my hearing was perfect. wierd when your car hits 145.9 decibles lol

I've got 2 10's in mine (Kicker Comp's) and with a hatch, you get the best sound with them as close to the hatch as possible. I'm running the MTX Terminator 250/1 mono block, which if I remember correctly, is actually around 600watts per sub. I know that MTX is underrated, and that everyone in the car audio field is telling me it is right around 600watts. Not bad though, makes me need to Dynamat the entire car though.......
