your not old old man.... just ummm not exactly up to date with the times lol. actually an old guy from my work *no pun intended* bought a 2003 dodge dakota sport. came with a clarion deck and 2 8"s underneath the rear seat. i find that cool but mines still louder. and remember also ken is that your truck is more of a confined space then my car would be so i would need more bass for more room. aha.

Well ConsideringI have 1600 watts (2 800 Watt Amps) and both Amps are matched up RMS wise perfectly, I thought I did pretty good.
Now someone I know with the same set up won the clarity part of the DB drags with the Stock head unit (same truck as mine).

you dont have both amps running the subs do you? 800 Watts to each 8" subs. or is one for the subs and one for the speakers? thats still crazy. how many decibels you figure is your max?

1 to the subs, in Stereo and 1 for the 4 door speakers.
For the DB's Don"t know, but it is loud enough that the Knoxville PD would write me for noise, I am guessing they didn"t like Inagaddadavida

What did they write you up for? Noise Violation?

Or Crime Against Humanity?

(shuddering at the memory of That Song).

[sm=funnypostabove.gif] As a young drummer growing up when that song was popular, I have to admit to playing it (and along with it) more than just a few times, but I know what you mean Fritz... I know what you mean. [sm=lol.gif][sm=lol.gif][sm=lol.gif]

I was actually pretty good at playing that song, although thinking about it is making my wrists hurt LOL
We had at least 1 request for it every night while I was in the band in the late 70's early 80's
