I'm trying to replace my fuel pump on a 2004 mazda 3 2.0, but I can't find it. My understanding is that the pump is in the fuel tank, and I thought I could access it by lifting the rear seats. When I pulled the seats I found a 6 inch square black cover secured by 4 phillips screws, which I reomved. Under the cover I found an electrical connector and the top of the fuel tank, but no pump access. Any advice or instructions on how to access the fuel pump to replace it? Thanks so much.
