Default Rim Size Question

Hello All,

My first post here so excuse me if its redundant. I have an 06 Mazda 3 I Touring. I am looking to get a snow tire package with steel rims for the winter. My problem is that I can't find out the exact rim size so I can order the steelies. Most sites either don't tell you the exact size or have several sizes. I know it is a 16" diameter by 6.5" wide with 5 lugs. I need to know the other information including the distance between lugs and anything else useful. Also if anyone knows anywhere besides Tirerack or Discount Tires that sells winter tires mounted, I would appreciate it. Thanks for your help in advance.

5x114.3 is the bolt pattern. Not sure what offset you'd need though.

If I were you I'd mount the snow tires on the stock wheels and buy some nice summer wheels/tires next year.

Just a follow up. I have the size and I know the stock rim is a 52.5mm offset. I can get either 55mm or 50mm offset steel rims from Discount Tire Direct. Does anyone know if either of these would fit, its only a 2.5mm difference, but I don't want things rubbing. The reason for this is that I can't find steel rims that fit the mazda anywhere else as cheap. I just want to know if anyone knows places that sell stock steel rims (besides the dealer) or has any other alternatives (besides buying a whole set of new rims, thats not really an option now).

Either of those offsets would work just fine.

I have a '06 Mazda 3i 5 door and I just purchased a set of studded snowtires and a set of wheels from Tirerack.com. I had to go down a size to 16" wheels to get the studded tires. These tires are awesome, while we haven't have much snow so far this season, we've had quite a bit of ice and they work great. I did consider steel rims at first, but to try and get 16" wheel covers that look decent was close to impossible. When I did find covers, it brought the cost of the rims + covers to within about $20.00 of alloy wheels. I would have spent that much per wheel to have them mounted locally. This is a list of what I bought.

Sport Edition D3 Silver Painted wheels

Sorry accidently posted before I was finished. The Tirerack.com mounts and balances for free, and the shipping costs are very reasonable. If had gone to my local Goodyear dealer the same setup would have cost me about 50% more.
