Ringing noise coming from engine after starting
Hi Guys,
I turned the car on today and for about 10 minutes it was like a ringing noise coming from the engine which was pretty loud, I recorded the sound on my phone, I uploaded it to see if anyone can work out what's causing it .
Listen To The Sound
Hope someone has an idea what is causing this and what I can do to resolve

it sounds to me like a belt slipping, or a bad bearing (alternator, idler wheel or other rotating device). get a piece of hose or tubing, put one end to your ear and carefully move the other end around the different pulleys of the engine. that will help you find where is the noise coming from. i would first think it is a belt slipping. does it get worst/better if you rev up the engine? if you turn on the headlights, ac unit, defrost? is belt tension/condition ok? lets start with the easy stuff first: belt condition and tension.
