Rotor Replacement

Rotor Replacement
Hello all. With 42k on an '07 5Dr, rotors are crap and need to be "turned" for the 3rd time. I don't think so. Steering wheel shakes so bad at 40+ mph I think the front wheels will fall off. So, I need a recommendation on a nice set of "performance" rotors, slotted, drilled etc., so I can forget about this braking BS and just drive. Any ideas people?
Update: Thanks for the good info. Took it to the Mazda dealer for repair. After inspection, they said it needs new front rotors and pads, left front strut was "blown", a 4 wheel alignment, and a motor mount. WHAT? 42k and I have to invest $939 in repairs? Geez!

if u need a replacement that early then your riding the crap outta your brakes or someone is, second rotors dont make it past a 2nd turning so they were turned way past spec, also when you replace your rotors you MUST replace your pads as well, another thing is if you get "performance rotors" like the drilled or slotted they cannot be turned and they are more prone to cracking. Ive had my front rotors and pads replaced after 90k miles and i just threw another set of stock style with semi-metallic pads and braking is amazing. I suggest on just getting another set of stock rotors from rockauto.com, and maybe a set of hawk pads from protegegarage. But if you want to waste your money on "performance rotors" then check protegegarage.com. Good luck

I was told that stock rotors can not be turned because they are not a steel, but a composite metal so they can't be machine. But you don't want to keep machining the rotors. If I need a pad change I will usually just replace the rotors at the same time, or do it next time. Its cheap enough if you do it yourself. I don't want to chance my breaking power.
