Default Sat nav

Hello,

I have just picked up my mazda 3 14 plate.

I wanted some help on the sat nav department. When I go onto the sat nav option it says see below,

do I just need an sd card or do I really need to go to mazda dealer.

Thanks Tom

Yes it requires the insertion of a Mazda satnav SD card.

Check to see if you have one, might be loose/ejected, might be in the glovebox or owners manual folder.

Available on EBay. Much cheaper than dealer. Just make sure you get the right one.

Here is a link:
https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_fro...0&_odkw=map+sd

The SD card that came with my car (2016 Mazda 3 iGrand Touring) said "Maps by NAVTEQ". Not sure if it maters as long as it's the right region (North America). Good luck.

Mrfingerling, if you decide to buy one online, make sure it is ,

A: Brand new - 2nd hand SD cards will be locked to the original vehicle.
B: Not a Tomtom SD card.
C: Is for Russia/Turkey/EU - not USA or Asia etc

Hello,

So I got the sd card and it works, but it's now started to have a mind of it's own. But it only seems to be once I come to a stop the sat nav starts beeping and selecting random stuff, as if someone is using the ****.

Any ideas?
