serial no.???????

can anyone help me please? i can't find the serial no. on my engine it's a mazda 3 1.6 petrol engine and i can't seem to find it anywhere??????

According to my information, it should be located on machined flat spot on the upper-rear (left side) of the engine blockat the rear of the engine where the trans mounts to it.
I found that info in section 10 of my owners manual. Perhaps yours is different, but checkyour ownersmanual under the heading of "Specifications," subheading "Identification Numbers."
