Default small oil leak spray on left of engine block?

hey guys, I'm about to joint he club and buy a 3 its a 2007, with 47k on it, the dealer wants 9900, which I thought wasnt a bad deal (correct me if I'm wrong).

The car is clean, except for the front bumper being slightly misaligned on the left side (likely just some close parking pressure, it doesn't look like a collision, and carfax reads clean).

The only snag is that on the left side of the engine block, there's a dried up small spray of oil, that has sprayed outwards (looked like a little, high pressure spurt of spray) from the area of the block towards the water tank, and backwards to the rear of the engine well. I didn't have a camera on me when i saw it, so here's a sketch of what I mean: http://www.flickr.com/photos/29802209@N06/3657912721/

A friend of mine guesses that it could be the oil gasket seal giving wayand shouldnt cost much to repair. Any other ideas? Is this something that should be a deal clincher for me?

Would really appreciate any help you guys can give, I need a new car bad

if you can get the dealer to fix it for free before they sell you the car, I would take that deal. They should NOT be selling that car if it's having a problem like that. Tell them to fix it and if they do, you'll take the car.
