SP23 Seat removal
My gf dropped her earings down the passanger side. Problem, i have the sp23 with the bose sound system, and thats where the sub is bolted. I had a few theories,
remove the sub, - Seems there is a false shelf on the underside of the car, this seems 2 hard to remove the sub from the bottom.
remove the seat, so i can see down the side, and hopefully get them out witha hook of sorts... but i have no idea how to safely remove the seats, any ideas?, or should i just take it down the mazda dealership and pay them to do it?

im pretty sure the sub is mounted in the trunk, i cant imagine why the sub would be located inside the cabin, the amp maybe but not the sub. The seats should just b four easy to remove bolts just make sure you dont break the connectors for the seat sensors

the amp is located under the driver's seat, the bose sub is under the passenger seat. Like Tracker said removal should be relatively easy. Pop the four plastic covers off the bolts (four corners of seat) and just be careful not to break the clips. Remove the bolts, unplug the airbag wiring and remove the seat. People drop coins into the bose subs all the time so don't feel like you're the first.
If your car has side airbags you may want to disconnect the battery and hold the brake in for about 30 seconds (or let it sit for 10-15 minutes) to make sure the airbag controller's capacitor is fully discharged. Not saying that it would deploy the airbag, but it's much safer to be sure than to be sorry.
