Default RE: Speed 3 boost?

my friend had a stillen manufactured 300ZX that ran 37 lbs stock and all that he did was put a set of corked downpipes and a couple of headers on it. after that, it pushed ~ 42 lbs. really rare car and insane to ride in. someone told me that the stillen models were limited to 300 a year for 3 years and had something like 450 hp stock.

Hello all,
First post here. Boost is limited in 1st and 2nd gears 10-12 psi, then averages around 16psi. There are sometimes boost spikes into 18psi.
The exact flow characteristics of the K04 turbo are not known atm, but everyone I've talked to seem to agree that 300-350HP is probably the most you can squeeze out of it before it's time to upgrade, which is pretty much whatevery other turbo car has to upgrade as well. I was told that a speed6 was running 500hp before his internals gave out on a stock block and fuel system, but I'm searching for any information to validate this claim.
All I can say is that the 2.3DISI is a VERY stoutengine and is a good platform to work from.

PS, AFAIK, Cobb is looking into the flow charactistics of the k04 and we should see some information soon.

So I'm basically saying that if you want to run a 27-30 psi turbocharger (or supercharger?), you gotta replace the pistons, gasket, crankshaft, vavles, cams... pretty much the only thing stock would be the block housing (and if you replaced that, you don't have a Mazda engine anymore!).

Get what I'm saying?

The most I would do is new camshaft and vavles if I plan to run a bigger turbo.
With an AC delete, a 3’’ exhaust straight out from the exhaust, no anything. Front mount inter cooler, cold air intake and a tune blew a rod threw my block, with 21 pounds of boost. Stock internals and stock turbo. Third gear pull at 5 grand.
