Just wondering if any other MS3 owners have been noticing this. The last few days the car just hasn't had the same "punch" it had before. I have been breaking in the car VERY slowly so I don't think that is an issue. Anyone else having similair problems?

 

wow i really don't want to have to respond to this thread. Yea yesterday i thought it was feeling a bit tired. I'll keep my eye's ears and butt on it.

 

sometimes i wonder that, but i think its just a matter of it using a turbo, if your slow in a gear then its not going to pick up quickly - turbo lag can be worse at moments depending on how your driving it, but if you go higher in rpms then it just gets better with each gear. maybe everyone knows this but if your not familiar with a turbo it can be a little different, at least this is what i notice

 

I notice that within one week of driving a car, I get used to acceleration. It's all in the head. No worries.

maybe you are babying it too much. go ahead and rev it up a bit. I am not saying to dog it, but you aren't going to hurt the engine by spinning up the turbo a bit.

 

I think the DSC slows it down if your traction is a bit iffy. If the surface is not pretty smooth, you'll get wheelspin even at 50or 60 MPH in 3rd -- I know I've heard it before (wheelspin, that is). I've never felt that it was slow in 5th or 6th.

 

I think it is a matter of just getting use to the accleration as pointed out previously. Agreed.
I think mine is faster than it should be sometimes. Then again, the driver has a lot to do with performance.

yes dude..i felt it too.. and let me tell you the DSC does slow the car down if it reads the tires slipping... so try it with out and see what happens. but i definately felt that.. i was like what happened.. but i am going to do an oil change, either the greddy turbo oil or redline wich is what i run in my celica.
