Default P0441 and P2006

It's the dealer's second shot at fixing the MS3. They just did the hack fix for the intake runner P2006 issue. We'll see if it holds up. Only 2700 miles and two trips to the service dept isn't a good start, but hopefully I can stay away for a while now. Zoomin' on...............

How many miles were on your cars when you picked them up? Mine had 14 on the OD.

Mine had 36 @ DOP. I'd put about 25 of them on two weeks earlier in my, and the only, test drive of the car. Silver you got the Intake doodad as well. Ick. The good thing is that they'll prolly go ahead and replace it next time around if Cargods forbid it should fail again. I'm Maryland they have Four chances to fice a problem (omitting steering/brakes). They probably are'nt brave enough to chance not replacing a $200 dollar part and have to replace a $25,000 vehicle ^^.

Funky i think you were seeing reg 3's. My buddy here has mistaken them for Speeds. And he loves the Speed3.

I assume after reading the posts on a white one that the rumors are growing of a 2008 model year. That's bittersweet for sure. I kinda hope it does'nt out do the 07 or anything, no changes powertrain wise. You'd ecpect that from like the next STI ot a EVOXV being faster than an EVOXIV, but this is special, it's limited and i feel special. Even -ED at times.

So much for waiting. (thanks for the tip BD)

I double checked the Mazda website for model availability in my region and PRESTO!

The model with the options I wanted (Blue GT w/Nav) magically appeared at a nearby dealer (where there were only "True Red"sa few days ago) in Daytona - about 2 hours South of here. I called the dealer and he claimed thay did not have it - I insisted and he checked with his lot manager and he said it was actually being unloaded from the truck as I was speaking to him. We made the deal over the phone and I drove down there today. Exchange took 30 minutes.

I am now driving the model I wanted, (with the Nav option) However, the nav software is limited (map only, no points of interest) so I'll have to upgrade. Anyone have experience in this regard? (I also want to exchange the disembodied female system voice for something a little sexier - think I could get Marilyn Monroe or Lauren Bacall?)

Oh, BD and others. Beware of torque steer when you inadvertedly "stomp on it" while making a turn. I almost lost control as I was accelerating into traffic turning onto a busy highway (dope slap!). This car brings back memories of high school and horsepower. Punch it in 4th gear and watch the car you are passing on the freeway melt away in the rear view! This machine is ticket bait!

Whoopee!

Do I get a finders fee?

I gave mine a spirited ride last night (note: spiritedis not the same as being under the influence of "spirits") and I did notice some torque steer, but nothing major. It might be my experience with driving a Toyota Truck on snow with locking differentialsfront and rear,THAT makes for an ill handling ride.

I am headed out for a couple weeks on vacation. I don't want to come back and read about any crashes, tickets, etc, so be careful. But most of all.................HAVE FUN!!!!!

Default RE: Shifting your ms3

On a warm engine, i'll shift as low as 2200RPM if I'm accelerating gently. I'm afraid to run the engine slower than that. You don't want to lug the engine and wreck the bearings. In average driving in traffic I guess it's 2700 to 3000. I don't see much differnce in mileage between gentle and average driving, but the MS3 really drinks if you push it.
