I saw it sitting next to an Acura TL, and hands down it looks way better than the TL

The over Exaggerated Smile on it makes the Mazda look subtle.

I have to disagree! The TL is better looking than the 10 mz3

I know I saw 1 coming up in my rear view mirror and threw up a little in my mouth, the large smiling Chrome grill looked stupid to me. Then I saw the 2 together at the store and side by side the MZ3 in my eyes looked a whole lot better.

I don't like either one of them.
They are both super ugly.
I wonder what group this puts me in.
Fot the life of me I can't figure how any automotive designer would think these two uglys are stylish, and appeal to the buying public.

I'm thinking that butt ugly versus butt ugly(er) isn't much of a vindication for the 2010 Mazda3.

While comparing these two models, one thing comes too mind.
They stink as far as looks go.
Permit me to take a short trip down memory lane, where cars were stylish and, one could never mistake one brand for another.
These cars were what I grew up seeing on the road as a teenager.
Even the wagons were good looking, and commanded attention.
These cars all had one very important trait, they were stylish.
Cookie cutter they were not.
Some were a bit radical but in all, they were a feast for the eyes, unlike today's offerings.

I'm with you guys. Both ugly, but if they were that last two cars on earth, would settle for the 3.
If you watch that video, the TL seems to be wallowing through several of those turns. The one most obvious to me is around the 1:32 mark.

WHAT ARE THESE DESIGNERS THINKING?? Has taste gone THAT FAR out the window, or are they just so desperate to make a name for themselves that they are willing to take such design risks?

In the case of "wollowing" thru the curves, I think the woman driving the car is unsure of the road and the vehicle.

After a few years they have a facelift model, like the 07-09. I was wondering how the facelift of the 2010 would look like? Then another question popped up. How the hell are they going stretch the face of the 2010 even more?! IDK maybe Mazda will get in touch with Joan Rivers' plastic surgeons.
