Default Traction and Stability Control question

Hi all, new to the Forum and new to the Mazda. Great to have such a wealth of knowledge available, hope I can return the favor one day. My question is; Do all 2010 Mazda3 Sport vehicles come with Traction and Stability Control? I have no switches or lights as described in the owner’s manual however it appears on the window sticker. TIA

Yes. As of the 2008(?) model year, all cars sold in the US are required to have TSC.

Uhhh...

My 2009 Mazda3 i Touring Value Edition does not have any semblance of traction control what-so-ever.

Directly from my Owner's Manual:

Traction Control System (TCS)

The Traction Control System (TCS)
enhances traction and safety by
controlling engine torque and braking*.
When the TCS detects driving wheel
slippage, it lowers engine torque and
operates the brakes* to prevent loss of
traction.

This means that on a slick surface, the
engine adjusts automatically to provide
optimum power to the drive wheels
without causing them to spin and lose
traction.

* DSC-equipped vehicles only

Does anybody have a 2010-2011 Mazda3 4 door with side sills? I'm thinking about putting some on the wife's car and would like to see some installed. I found a website that sells them for $340.00. Has anybody found them any cheaper?

Disagree. Shipo is right; my 2010 Mazda3 iSport does not have the Stability control feature. This was available on the touring and Speed models though. However, the feature is standard on ALL 2011 Mazda3 models.

OK thanks, but what about the switches and lights mentioned. I have none in my car.

Default I would imagine...

I would think that if you don't have the subject switches in your car that the manual mentions, that you do not have stability control. Check with your dealer.
