Okay, I posted this to begin with, was not intended as an endorsment. Interesting reading more than anything. I do not understand how the "overall" score is derived. For the honda fit, you have:
Performance 8.1
Exterior 7.7
Interior 8.3
Safety 8.3
But the overall score is 9.1? How do they get to 9.1 from the above? If you average out the above, shouldn't you end up with about an 8.2?
Also, the Fit has the same Performance score (8.1) as the Mazda3? The Honda performance review has the sentence which reads, "as long as drivers keep in mind the Fit is a compact car, not a hot rod."
The Mazda3 is described as, "This is definitely a driver's car, with a firm, sweetly damped but still comfortable ride."
Would you give the abovetwo cars equal Performance point score, based on the above? Both CANNOT get the same 8.1 based on the above.
