Default Well I most say goodby

I have traded in my 3 for a 09 jetta wolfsberg.

Its been fun, but the old girl needed tires and was a couple years old and there really is no excuse.
I just wanted a new car and a little more room. Plus the dog hair on black cloth was getting bad.

so I traded it in on a VW jetta with leather and tiptronic, yes I went to a automatic..sad but ture.
I have had manual shifts for as long as I can remember. but we had a kid 6 month ago and its time.

but dont feel to sad for me the car moves out. it has standard auto shift, sport shirt and tiptonic shift.
it moves, I'm an old VW guy anyway...

So thanks for all the help. its been fun.
I'll miss the crew here and maybe I'll be back in near future.

I have to go now. Need to run to the part store and get some stuff to make this car my own... it never ends does it..
thanks virgin1 and everyone who helped me out over the passed 2 years.

later

Maan, anything but a new VW. The only way you could've make me frown more was by buying a Hyundai.

I'm sure the dog won't do any damage to the leather seats (he said sarcastically).

More room? The leg room stats, Jetta versus Mazda3, are less than an inch different. Shoulder room is less than an inch different. Jetta has a larger trunk, that is the only area of substantial difference as far as room is concerned.

VW?Owned one way back, personally will never go there again, I'm sure their better now, but after my experiences owning a Rabbit and also a Volvo, I can't imagine ever owning another European.

Good luck with that one. I was tossing up on 08 Wolf when I bought my 3. Please report back here on how you like it and how it treats you over time. I decided on the 3 for two reasons. The VW maintenance costs were double the Mazda. The Jetta, no matter what 'lipstick', is still a chick car.

I don't recall asking anyone to leave because they no longer owned a Mazda, and as far as I'm concerned, you are part of the group and should remain that way. And of course you are certainly welcome to hang around.
But I too must express my disappointment in your choice. VW's haven't been "VW's" in a very, VERY long time. Reliability sucks and the last one I owned did everything a car should do, but didn't do anything very well. It scared me a few times with some strange handling and inadequate brakes, and for what it was the mileage sucked too. Nope. I'm done w/VW.

At least you didn't go honda. You'll be better offlater on in a honda, but it's still a honda. I was thinking of taking over my brother's payments on his 07 gti, which i enjoy very much, but then i remembered he had two problems with the car already. The car was screaching as it was being driven and had to be towed to the dealership. The other was an electrical problem, how surprising. The car is a great car. It's quick, solid, and secure. You can't beat a german clutch even though jettas are hencho en Mexico. You will enjoy your new car as much as you enjoyed your mazda. Just baby it a lot more and maybe you won't have as many problems.
Auf weidersehen.

How long ago did you own a VW? The new ones are complete garbage, IMO...the last great VW as far as I'm concerned was the Mk. 1 Golf.

My last one WAS a Golf MkII, and it was GARBAGE, IMO. A ,89? '91? I don't even remember now. But I used to buy, fix and sell Rabbits as a side line to bring in some extra $$$. I did it 'cause they were cheap for me to buy, relatively cheap and easy to fix up, and I could make a few bucks on 'em. I was never, ever gonna get rich doing it though.
They were a snap together POC (piece of crap) with a lot of rattles and booms, but generally easy to work on.

you are being cry babies. Look I had my maz for a year and half, the paint sucks... it had more chip than any car i ever owned. (I'm takin cars I have had for years) the sheet metal is so thin it dents just looking at it. the interior, well all I can say sucks. the cloth sheds like my yellow lab. the plastic scratches very easy. again it looks good in the show room, but doesnt hold up. crap, crap, crap.
all i can say is Hope you dont get hit by a pebble, or you will have a dent and chip..

The VW 2.O T kicks it *** performace wise and handling if far better. come on get real here. I have had Many VW's 68, 69 bug, 89 rabbit, 94 jetta, 01 GTI, 04 Jetta GLI, and now 09 Jetta Wolfberg.. I dont agree at all the vw are junk... this car is solid, fast, good looking, and better quility.

Sorry gang, but I have not been impressed with Mazda "FORD" quility...
Ya it looks good,Style wise, but does not hold up over time.... My 1-1/2 year old car looked like it had 5 years of wear. and I baby my cars with toothbrush washings...clasic issue a simple thing like the dip stick... you cant even read it for god sak...come on get real ford, oops i mean Mazda.
From day one that pissed me off.
I know its hard for you VW haters to realize that the germans make a car that has to handle the Autobaun.
where most cars r built to handle 60 mph.. sorry i wont buy another Mord again..
Hate to be a hater, but I'm so happy to get ride of that car.. Oh and whats with that supid batter vent.. lameO.

Have fun
