Default What is the "Text" for?

I have a 2004 5-door 3, and under the left **** on the stereo (the one for tuning the radio) it says "<--Text-->". I still can't figure out why it says that. Is it to change what the radio says to you when you start it?

some radio stations have a techonoly designed and used mostly in europe in which the radio station transmit a phrase or sentence along with the radio signal and with the right equipment and radio tuner it will display on the screen. maybe this is what the text is for so that you can scroll the text. or maybe its something to do with the aux input or tape or something. or maybe its just like you said where you can do a reprogram but i have never heard of doing that...but you never know!

Yeah in the mustang after you find the station like 94.1 instead of saying "94.1" pm the screen it says "Star 94" then "Led Zeppelin" and then "Kaiser". That's an example, station frequency, then station name, then artist, then song. It cycles through that.

The Mz3 isn't equipped to show the text from radio stations. The text **** is to scroll through info. from the sirius radio.
