I wasjust trying to point out that racing stripes STARTED on small european cars. British built (mostly) SCCA Production racers used them for years as I had described in the '50's, '60's and '70's.
Unfortunately, on a quick search, I couldn't find any posted pics of offset racing stripes, so I had to settle for centered stripes, but you get the point.

No need to get testy, Tracker... or is that Tracker testy?

j/k

I have to disagree w/you there too. Though not my first choice for stripes/color combinations, I have seen blue stripes on gray cars that worked out OK... but for the street and for your daily driver, I wouldn't recommend it. I'm talking pure conception here, not a true reality.
Red would also go pretty well, but DON'T DO IT!!!

Cool, Man. You really had me going there and I would still like to know what you meant (the "hands over Mod status," etc,) but as long as we are cool w/each other, it's OK.

P.S. I know where you stole that smiley.....

Well it took me 3 months to pull off the door moldings, so strips may or may not be in the future. I like the feedback. It is kinda old school, but thats what i like about the idea. If its done right I think it would look cool. You ever see that wash of paint. maybe I should try that and if it sucks - No harm done.
