RE: Whats the worst that can happen?
your seventeen year old friend, Paul, must be dealing some sort of drugs if hes blowing 40 grand on a tiburon and that entertainment center on wheels he calls a civic ... and by the way, all of the actual good drivers are at the track, not racing on the street.

One nice thing about Civics is that the aftermarket parts are readily available for them.
My problem is that my definition of "fast" is so warped that I don't feel that my Mazda3, no matter how much I spent on it would be "fast". You'd have to spend a fortune just to try to get it to the base performance of a stock 03 SVT Cobra (this goes for Civic-boy too.) that you are just better off getting the Cobra, putting the Ford Lightning pulley on it (increasing boost) & a freer flowing exhaust & a couple other upgrades (no more than an extra $1000 to the base price of the vehicle) to smoke any Civic that comes along.

nah, ill stick with my 3, make it show and go, then probably get either a honda something, or a 240sx. Im not much of an American muscle fan.
And the Sonic i know is not a blue hedgehog, but his car is painted like his shoes, and has his hair kind of styled like his.

RE: Whats the worst that can happen?
sounds like you got some interesting friends with to much money to dump into a stupid Civic, unless this stuff is just barely making it on the car. i see so many Civics that are just pieced together, and people call them a "Work in Progress", what a load of crap.
