09 Mazda 5 Sport Rims... replace or repair?
Our 09 Mazda 5 has 2 bent rims that need repair or replacement ( 2 sources confirm) Both shops say they can send them off to be 'bent back to shape' ($180 ea.) or buy new for $500/each. has anyone had luck with having a shop 'true' them back to specs or should i buy new? also...any good honest sources for mazdaOEM parts on line?
thanks much - Rabbitcom1

I can't really help you other than you suggest "ANY" oem parts on-line? Shipping across country 2 rims could be expensive. I suggest you stick to close to home, stating your city for decent responses.
Search the phone book and phone a few tire places in your area.

I would definitely replace it, I believe it is cheaper to replace the wheel than having it repaired. You can find a replacement wheel at ebay from $90-$130 shipped and sometimes they are as good as brand new. No I don't sell wheels at ebay but I had to replace my wheel once.

If I had two bent 17" rims, I'd definitley look into replacing all four with 16's. There are far more tire sizes available and for far less money. Just replaced tires on my wife's 09 5, and nearly passed out. The 205 17" tires are v rated and cost a fortune.

Buy aftermarket from either Tire Rack or Discount Tire.
I put 16" rims / tires on my Mazda5 once my OEM tires were worn out. Total cost was about $1,150 which gave me 16" Drag DR-34 rims, Michelin Pilot Exalto A/S tires (205/55R16), black locking lug nuts, rebuilding & moving the TPMS sensors from my OEM wheels to the new ones, lifetime rotation and 'roadhazard warranty', and taxes / environmental fees.
