mazda 5 reverse
well there has been no abuse from me to the gear box in forward or reverse and however these things are put together they should be smooth actions and not catching and jarring between gears, hopefully will be enlightened on thursday when it goes to a fresh main dealer. thanks for your interest - most helpfull
p.s. triplet man had problems with tyre wear, were the tyres dunlops and have they been changed? i also had this problem with my mazda 5 sport and the settings were not quite right, mazda were blaming dunlop and dunlop were blaming settings!! mine are now pirellis and seem to be ok.
other than that i am not really up on syncros and such like but know when my car is not performing as it should so will pursue the problem and let you know what happens, at the moment i am in a mexican stand off with the dealer and mazda uk!
thanks all.

dealer will pay for two tyres and settings to be put right. all 4 of my tyres were out though but two punctures sorted that out. expensive job so if you are having trouble with all 4 scream and shout and they may buckle. make sure you get all problems sorted under warranty, anything you are not happy about complain officially and then if it goes past the warranty they should still sort it out free. good luck
