Default Mazda 5's...where are you???

Well.
Normally when you buy a new car...you suddenly see millions of them on the road and it seems that everyone is driving the same model & make as you. Not so with the Mazda 5 Furano!

Not seen one on the road all week!

Maybe the UK tyre munching legend has finally caused MMUK to recall every 17" wheeler...and only 1 survived?

Anyway, new to this site & although the missus was looking for practicality & safety for the kids.......I chose the Furano
purely down to the fact that our new un lools like it came straight off "Pimp My Ride".

Just need to buy a couple of massive water pistols & convince the 2 little monsters in the back to imagine themselves as the
A Team....slide back the doors at the Zebra crosssing & give old MrsMiggins a good soaking!

Ah well.....looking forward to moaning about excessive tyre wear in about 12.5k
However, Could be worse.....Lewis Hamiltons tyres are as bald as a coot in less than 50 miles....lets see what his local Merc Dealership come back with this weekend! "Look Master Hamilton....we'll fund the rears & you pay for the fronts".

Up the Rams!

I suppose rarity might help the resale

Round these parts everyone drives Versos and Tourans (plus the ubiquitous Zaffira).

There's one round the corner from me (even pauperer spec than mine - it's a TS - but we don't need the tyre shop). I see a black Sport one on my way to work occassionally but that's it.

I too have noticed that i have not noticed a single other Five on the road. I don't get it...it's a GREAT vehicle. I would like to have a little more Mmmph under the hood (bonnet) and I'd REALLY like to see better use of the gas...my mileage stinks. um...do they call it kilometerage on the other side of the pond?

No, we still call it mileage. The rest of Europe is entirely metric. We live in a sort of limbo where we drive in miles but buy our fuel in litres. We still measure fuel consumption in miles per (imperial) gallon rather than the continentals who do it the other way round (litres used per 100km travelled).

You want to winge about fuelconsumption - come over here and pay our prices [:@].

That'll make your eyes water [:-]

um. No. LOL. Though i appreciate the offer, i'll pass. Our boys aren't fighting a war for just any reason at all...gotta keep them gas prices down so us yanks can drive Cadillac Escalades and Hummers. J/K, though i'd like to visit europe sometime in the near future, Used to live in Bremerhaven GE a long time ago. I miss those pom fritz wit mayonase and the beer wenches LOL

There are loads of 5's in the Northern end of Lincolnshire. At least 4 within a couple of miles of our village.
Even the car that came off the production line after ours lives in the next village!

SAFC............

SAFC

Not the Mighty Mackems?????

My Missus is from Silksworth & takes the 5 up there on a regular basis - used to be a season ticket holder at SOL.
Great part of the world.

You can imagine our house last season!!!! ......before I went to Wembley of course!!!

Indeed the Mighty Makems it is..... Have been away for some time now, but still follow the lads.
Cannot get to see them much now :-( Was a regular at Roker Park though in my Youth!!!!

The site of the SOL was still a working pit when I left!! how things change?

I tipped Derby for the third spot. It was pretty tight for the last week or so.......
I think the Championship is a better league though. It is more even.
