@dgcam
Nice speaker upgrade. Did you also put the back plastic cover from the original front speakers to your new speakers?

The magnet cover does not fit to my rockford fosgate speakers because of the bigger magnet..

My next project is to put a small sub, I'm not satisfied with the bass after upgrading the stock speakers.

I still recommend removing the third row of seats to work on the rear speakers. Maybe you don't have to, but it makes the job easier and only takes a few minutes (five bolts). Plus it gives you a chance to clean under the rear seat.

Anyway, nice work on the speakers, I'm sure they sound much better than the stock speakers.

I've ordered several head units / sets of speakers from Crutchfield over the years - it's the only place I buy that stuff. Great place and they will toss in the kit / connectors at no additional cost.

Stop by Best Buy to look at & listen to the head units but be sure to check out Crutchfield before buying.

Heat:
I've only had my car 6 months, the interior in my car is like new - no need to clean under seats.

Also: Easier to me, is the less I have to do...the better.

If I didn't have the scewdriver, it would have been alittle more difficult.
That little tool have saved me so much effort and time over the years...

hi guys,

I know that i'm to late but, I just found a post that has the "how to" from crutchfield
http://www.mazdas247.com/forum/showt...-install-sheet

You can't go bigger then 6x8 without mod.

I just ordered 2 set of these:
Kenwood KFC-C6894PS 6" x 8" 3-Way Performance Coaxial Car Speakers

But wasn't sure if I would have more bass with these:
Pioneer TS-A6874R (TSA6874R) 6" x 8" 3-Way A-Series Speakers

I should receive them in less then a week.
