Default Open loop?

Did an OBD-II scan, and got two readings: Fuel system 1, open loop and fuel system 2, not supported. Anybody know the meaning of these to readings?

Open loop means the car has not warmed up enough to get into closed loop mode, closed loop is where the computer controls everything by every sensor, open loop is used for cold starts when certain sensors (O2s generally) are not warm enough to report anything, this way the engine will run with the computer substituting the missing sensor values with preprogramed ones from the factory. I am going to guess your scan tool really said this;
Fuel System 1: Open Loop
Fuel System 2: Not Supported

Correct? Is your car a 4 cylinder? Add your car to your signature so we all dont have to ask each time Saves alot of typing, posting and waiting
