Just tried to check before the warranty goes out.. and found the the power steering pump defect... and have to wait for the part for 1-2 weeks because of the back order.. The technician told me that there is a problem in some batch with the Power steering pump and affected to most states and Mazda is ordering and waiting approx 16000 Power Steering Pump to come in. They rent me a car to replace my car which is still in the Mazda Service..Pls check yours too before the warranty expired..

 

I started having trouble with my power steering on my 2008 mazda 3 in April. I took it to the dealership and was told it was not safe to drive. I was given a loaner and was informed they would call me when it was ready. Now, 7 weeks later, I am being told it will be another 2 months before I get my car back. I am not allowed to drive out of town or out of state in the loaner they gave me. They will not let me trade my car in and they even told me "sorry, your screwed! You have to cancel all your family and travel plans. We are not going to help you out." I think they are trying to let my car sit until it runs out of warenty. If they tell me I have to pay for the part because it took so long to get, I am going to sue. Anyone else have this kind of experience?
