Exclamation Rear Shocks HELP! --- Mazda 5

Hello,

Looking for any help or suggestions, so appreciated!

We have a "2008" Mazda 5 Grand Touring. Looking at replacing the "Factory Mazda OE" Rear Shocks. They are starting to leak and have a bit of a bounce.

What are the best "Rear Shock" choices, what do you think?
Have checked into it a bit and have found Monroe and KYB Rear Shocks.
Is there other brands - what are your thoughts?
Do you like Monroe or do you like KYB?
Do you like another rear shock brand?

When replacing the "Rear Shocks" do you recommend replacing or changing anything else along with this job? What about any upgrades or such?

The "Front Struts" are in really good working condition - no problem with the front!

Looking for your help and assistance, this is a great forum!
Thanks

Go for any rear shocks other than the Mazda ones, it's only a 30 min job to replace each side, make sure you get some thread lock for the lower bolts.

I used KYB gas struts when I did mine approx. 5000 miles ago. The car has been involved in two house moves since and they seem spot on. This You Tube guide may help, it did for me.

I second the KYBs. That is what I used recently to replace my leaking front and rear shocks on my 2007 Mazda 5 Grand Touring. Feels and handles better than new.
