Default rear wiper FYI

the manual calls for a 12 inch... I replaced mine with the Trico model number 14-A... it's a 14 inch replacement and it's perfect fit and gives me an extra 2 inches of clear rear window. The installation is the same as the 12 inch so there is no hassle there. something to consider...

Nice find, John!
The 14A is what fits the 3 series HB's. Back in the day, I used to do this with a lot of my cars. I usually found I could add an inch or so to the recommeneded wipers. I want as much sweep as I can get also.

yes, two inches doesn't sound like much, but it's a huge difference as far as visibility goes. I will also go as long as possible with any vehicle I own.

update... there is about a two inch swath at the base of the wiper (where the arm meets the window) where the wiper does not make full contact and will tend to smear more than wipe, but in my case it is a very minor issue and do not mind it that much, just keeping y'all informed.
