Rearview Camera

Rearview Camera
I am planning to install a rearview (aka reversing, backup, parking) camera to my 2006 Mazda5. I've run the wire from the head unit to the back via the headliner. I am now at the point of connecting the wire to the reverse light to get power for my camera. That's when I realized that I have a problem tapping into the reverse light due to its distance from the door. I noticed most cars and most youtube videos, the reverse light is part of the door. While the 2006 Mazda5, the reverse light is on the body of the car, and not on the door.
Do you have any suggestions on how I could run the wire to tap into the reverse light?
Thanks in advance

I was facing the same problem. I used a video wire that came with an extra line for power. I connected this to the harness under the dash. Have a look here https://procarmanuals.com/pdf-online...wiring-diagram. it is a Red/Yellow cable coming from the motor bay via the connector C4 on the right side.
