Recommendations for cycle carrier?

Recommendations for cycle carrier?
Hi All,
I was wondering if people had recommendations on a cycle carrier for the Mazda 5 (I have an 05 TS2).
The only official Mazda parts appear to be for the roof (seeing as I don't have a tow bar), but friends say you can get carriers that go on the back from other suppliers.
In most ways I think prefer the back owing to it being that much more accessible. Getting three bikes up on to the top of the car and down again must be quite difficult.
Has anyone bought a rear mounted cycle carrier that doesn't need the tow bar that they can recommend, or have any other suggestions?
Many thanks

RE: Recommendations for cycle carrier?
The problem with rear carriers is that you have to take the bikes off to open the tailgate. Thule make some good mounts to fit on the roof but I suspect the 5 is too high to lift them on and off easily. You could probably stand on the side door step but it could be awkward. There are roof mounts available which lift the bikes up for you and if you're in the UK there's a bike shop in the east (I think?) which hand makes racks, mainly for tandems, which pivot onto the roof, and they're cheap. If you're interested I'll try and find a contact for them.

Thanks for the reply.
It hadn't occurred to me that you might need to take the bikes off which would obviously be a pain, but might still be the best solution.
I am in the UK so a contact for anyone who could sell something useful would be very handy.

I have a couple of links for you. The first is specifically for tandems but the guy hand makes them and customises them so he may do solo bike options. The second is a rack that lifts the bike onto the roof for you.
