roof noise reduction/fog light install
Has anyone used Dynamax or other material to reduce the noise and add insulation to the roof? The noise from heavy rain is deafening.
Also, has anyone installed the Mazda fog light kit? Is the switch installation a hassle?

RE: roof noise reduction/fog light install
I just finished installing the foglight in my Mazda5. The first thing I did was pull the top part of the steering column up - held together by clips. Second I took out 2 screws under the steering column. I pulled the two pieces apart and took out the 2 screws that holds in the turn signal switch, then I disconected the connector to the switch. I installed the new turn signal with the fog light switch on it in reverse order. To install the fog lights I took out the three screws under the botom of the car and four of the screws in the wheel well area. There was enough room to pull these pieces apart and reach in and install the fog lights. The orignal connector for the fog light was attached to the piece that you take out and replace with the new fog light. Took about a 1/2 hour -

Thanks, My Mazda. It always helps to hear from somebody that has been there and done that. I just ordered the fog light kit. I think they make the front of the Sport look a lot better.
