Shift lock and bearing issues?

Shift lock and bearing issues?
My shifter will not move from the park position, even with the brake on. I removed the shift-lock bypass cover and manually shift right now. I searched and could not find a common issue across Mazda models, so hoping someone has some helpful advice/experience.
The front right (passenger side) emits a humming noise at lower speeds. I think it's a wheel bearing, but am not sure. Any tips/advice to diagnose?
Funny how I just happened to go over my 36K mile limit for drivetrain warranty

RE: Shift lock and bearing issues?
Played around with the wires/connector going to the brake switch at the pedal. Looks like a coouple of wires were touching and may have rubbed through (enough to short). I pulled the wires away from each other and the brake lights work again and the shifter shifts.
The switch is fine, but if you have a similar issue, try to check the 2 wires first. It is NOT easy to get to it all... Upside down with almost no visibility. Had to feel my way. I did not see how to remove the lower dash panels, but I'd recommend that you do.
