Default Smoothest, Quietest Replacement Tires for M5?

My tires will need replaced this year, and I'm looking for something that may ride a little smoother/quieter than the OEM Toyo's. I have the US-spec '06 Touring model. I realize that these are low-profile tires, but wondering if anyone has found a tire that can quiet down some of the road noise.

Thanks!

I tried Goodyear Excellence as they are marketed as being a quiet tyre. The difference was barely noticeable. They have, however, lasted far better than the original Dunlops and that is without any geometry adjustments. There is no tyre that will turn the 5 into a quiet car, concentrate on price and longevity.
I was going to go for Michelin Primacy next but will not have the car long enough to find out now.

I actually came across the Dunlop SP Sport Signature tire online. Reviews of it rank it VERY highly in ride and quietness against others such as Michelin, Goodyear, Bridgestone, etc.

I will gladly give up some handling prowess for more comfort, so that's not so much a "tradeoff" to me. Is anyone here familiar with these tires?

I'v also now seen the Bridgestone Turanza Serenity online. I even saw where someone who owns a US-spec Mazda5 put them on his car. Didn't mention getting new wheels, but I can't find the stock wheel size (205/50 VR17) online for this tire.

Has anyone else some experience with this tire, preferably on a Mazda5??

I've just replaced two tyres on my '05 Sport (17" wheels). I went for Japanese Dunlop SP 2050 same as original equipment. It was stressed to me by my dealer and others that the tyres must be "reinforced" or "XL (extra load). Agree with SimonD - as far as I can tell by reading reviews, there's not a huge difference in noisebetween any of them.

You're a brave man, Mozart, putting Dunlops on again, after 36 pages of people suffering worn tyres and the vast majority of those tyresbeing Dunlops!

My solution to the tyre noise - turn up the stereo.

Dave.

I had to think on my feet, Dave when the local Kwik-fit surprised me by having the original Dunlops 2050'sin stock. I had gone in with the intention of buying something else but not everything they were offering me was "reinforced". I liked the fact that they look the same with the wheel protection bead etc.
I had also just left the local dealer and the 2008 model was sitting in the showroom on the same tyres.
I've not actually had any tyre wear problems on my 2005 Sport. They are maintained at the full load pressures as there is usually four of usaboard.

Just bought a set of Dunlop SP Sport Signature tires from Tirerack.com (in the U.S.). Hope this wasn't a mistake, based on info here! The tire was rated highly in a comparison test with 3 other tires, and the customer reviews were overwhelmingly positive, so I bought. $111 per tire. Anyone with experience of this tire?
