Default 16" wheel on a '06, fit larger brakes?

Found that '05 and older had brake rotors 11.1", '06 brake rotors went up to about 11.8". Will 16" wheels fit with the larger brakes? Noticed no OEM 16"s listed after '05.

Yes, and possibly no.

Yes, 16" wheels will easily clear an 11.8" rotor/caliper setup.

The thing is, just because a 16" wheel has enough inner diameter to clear the outer surface of the brake calipers, it may not have enough offset for clear the front face of said calipers.

Long story short; it depends upon the wheel.

Actually it's only the 3i models that have and came with the smaller brakes. I believe they still are, or were through the 1st gen cars. The base wheels are 15's.
But yes, 16's are known to fit where the 17's lived before. Just not the 15's.
