Default 2004 mazda heat help..please

Hi there guys i am looking for some help with my 2004 mazda6 84thousand km,,,, I find that my car warms up very fast. It seems i drive down the street and after a few minutes the temp guage reaches the middle very fast. Can anyone help? Thanks

Is the car overheating, or just warming up quickly. If it's just warming up quickly then I'm failing to see the problem. Now, if it's overheating then something needs to be fixed, otherwise ur worried about nothing.

my 06 does the same thing..within a fewminutes of idling, or drivingmy temp guage is at that normal position. i dont see a problem, infact i kinda like it haha...

It's an EPA thing. Years ago they started making cylinder head coolant ports smaller so the engine would warmup quicker because a cold engine pollutes more.

Engines run more efficiently & cleaner once warmed up, and customers like a car that warms up fast in the winter. So long as it's not overheating, it seems to be working as designed. (I live in cold as hell Michigan, and I love the fact that my wife's car heats up in just a few minutes.)

Thanks for the help guys.. I guess it's just normal. It's just the fact that i have had my 6 only 6 months.
