2007 Mazda 6 CD Changer Mp3
So I just recently bought a brand new 2007 Mazda 6 VE with 6 CD Disc Changer..... And I couldn't be happier! Then.... I realized that my in dash cd changer doesn't play mp3's!!!!!!!!!! what's up with that!?!? I would regular have a single cd disc player that plays mp3s than to have an in-dash cd changer!! I guess there is a difference between the Bose 6 cd disc changer and the ... 'Standard' 6 CD Disc changer....
So now I guess I'm going to have to either one... buy a new cd player.. which it will have to be oem to incorporate the dash display of course... or two buy and Ipod connector for the back of my non-mp3 playing changer.
I keep reading about the PIE connectors for the ipod and the dension.. from personal usage.. is there one that anyone would recommend personally?
Oh and I assume that the 'media' connector isn't RCA or a stereo plug either.. that would be way too easy....... right?
Thanks!!!

Aye same here. 07 4banger w/6 disc. Waiting for 1 of you young adventerous types to figure out the quick easy fix for this. I imagine 1 of you will tear your system apart & figure out the $10 connector that'll plug right in allowing my mp3 to work.

hey guys....
go to www.mp3yourcar.com
they have a cable specifically made for the 6 that'll connect DIRECTLY into your stock stereo. it will charge your ipod AND allow you to change tracks, and adjust volume using your steering wheel controls!!! of course it does cost a bit...$189! but it does allow more functionality than ANYTHING i have seen and all in crystal clear digital sound. here's the direct link to the page for your '07...good luck...

RE: 2007 Mazda 6 CD Changer Mp3
No worries. I recently just bought a 2007 6 Sportwagon and love it. To remedy the Mp3 problem as I have the stock 6 CD changer as well. I picked up the Audiolink Mp3 adaptor from ( Revolution Performance Motorsports ). About $130. Had a a good installer hook up unit in the console, and also had a Pioneer XM Inno mounted at the bottom of the console running off the Audiolink as well.I either use the IPOD or the XM Inno and it sounds clean as a whistle. Both can be wired in, simply have to disconnect one or the other. Don't bother with changing any of the factory unit, Just augment with this adaptor and you're golden. I love this car, and the hookup for this was cheap and clean, without getting slammed with the dealer Sirius and MP3 option which is a huge ripoff and I Like XM better along wit the IPOD.

I'm having the sames issues. All I want is my iPod and Sat. IF I get the iPod intergration kit everyone is talking about and ditch the stock Sirius -- I'll be using the SAT button for the iPod. But then if I want Sat radio but perhap on an external unit, do you think I could use that goofy Media button for that? I'm almost at the point of finding some need for the media button even if it's todispense tic-tacs for mere principle. Grrrr.

I ended up getting something to plug into the changer controls, however once I got it there it didn't work. I finally ordered up the dash kit and installed my other stereo from my last car. Now I have my DVD/Mp3 player back. The kit did cost about $180, but it was worth every penny once I got my system back in.
