All New 2009 Mazda6 Ready to Make an Impression on the U.S. Market

One thing you can say about Mazda is that the company learns from its mistakes and knows how to carry a good thing forward to the next model year. Get ready U.S. market: the 2009 Mazda6 may just be the best mid-sized sports sedan made in a very long time
Mazda’s success hasn’t gone to its “head;” instead, the company took lessons learned from the first Mazda6 as well as heavy-favored features from the CX-7 and award-winning CX-9 and made an all new vehicle built especially for the North American market. [/align]

RE: 2009 Mazda6
My initial impresson based on what I've read is that the new Mazda6 ismuch improved over its predecessor. My only thing is that I wish the V6 was a bit more fuel efficient. Yes, the new Duratec37 gives more power and displacement the current/former Duratec 30 whild returning the same fuel economy; but do you really need 272 hp?(YESI DO)Sure it makes for a fun to drive ride but gas isn't cheap any more. Maybe the added exhiliaration will make up for the lower than average V6 ecomony in this segmentbut it would have been nice if there were an alternative 6-cylinder that maybe had a little less muscule and better milage. I'd get one, but I'm not in the market (and hopefuly wont be needing a new car anytime soon). Overall,Mazda seems to have done a good job of improving their flagship sedan. Since Ford will be releasing a hybrid Fusion, I guess we could exect a hybrid 6 in the near future.

My main problem is that i couldnt even get an equivalent to my 2007 Mazda 6S MT. The '09 can not be equipped with a manual and a V-6. Why not? also no Speed6 although i am sure that is coming. If i really wanted to get one i would have to get the big V6 because of the power and the sweet exhaust, but an automatic? Not really impressed with the lack of transmissons.
