i am a new owner, and was going to ask this question but since this is already titled 3000 rpm, it fits with what i was going to ask.

Why does the car seem to have a boost at 3000rpm, I have an 05' 6i sport, 4cyl. Whenever i am just reading 3g, the car seems to accelerate faster. I would assume it has something to do with the valve timing?

I don't know what the dyno readout is for the 2.3L, but my guess is that RPM is where you're beginning to build a lot more torque than real low band? It's a 4 banger so it seems a little odd if that's true, but like I said I don't know the curve offhand.
