I ejected a cd and wanted to load a new one but it wouldnt let me because it still thought i had one in there. WHen I press eject it will try to eject it again. When I press load it doesn't do anything. Then I can't switch discs. I disconnected the battery for about 20 minutes but that didn't help. I then tried to eject another disc, which it would but then the same thing happened. Any ideas on what I should do?

 

Checked factory manual - nothing there.

My suggestion would have been what you've done - the battery.

The 6-disks are known trouble makers. At first I was sorry my 3 only came w/the single, but not any more. I have read too many of these posts.

Either replace the player or have yours fixed. It sounds like an internal problem. Either one of the plastic pieces is not retracting and keeping a micro switch closed, or the switch itself is bad. That's my best guess.
