Default 6s Acceleration

Hi Everyone,

I have a 2005 6s ATX. I am going to the dealer this Friday to have my car looked at. One dealership didn't believe anything that I was saying about the car having sluggish acceleration when the air is on and I am in "M" mode. When leaving a stop sign or red light and under normal acceleration there seems to be a long lag between the time I hit the gas pedal and when the car actually starts moving. Sometimes it seems as if i begin to accelerate and then the car pauses for a sec or two and then really takes off. It is a lot more noticeable when the air is on. It only does it at random times thats why I feel that there is a problem. It will do it once in a great while while in "D" mode but it will not do it if the car is rolling a five or six yards before I put my foot on the gas pedal. Has anyone else experienced this before or does anyone know of anyone that has? I'd like to print responses to this post and bring them with me on Friday so please respond by then if you have any information regarding this problem.

Anthony

I know that some sluggishness in the acceleration can be caused by a traction control system (TCS). If you have TCS try disabling it and see what happens.

Try asking in the troubleshooting forum over at 6Tech --> http://forum.mazda6tech.com/viewforum.php?f=11

A couple of the mods are Mazda mechanics.

having an Automatic tranny and the AC on really does suck the power away, that's just how it is
