Is there any appreciable difference between the early Mazda 6s with the 220 hp V6 and 5-speed ATX, vs. later versions rated at 212 hp with the 6-speed auto?

The power rating changed due to changes in the method of how an engines power is measured (motor would be the same)

You get closer ratios and better mileage with the 6-speed vs the 5-speed.

I thought that the change in power measurement had to do with the 215 vs. 212 hp ratings. The reduction in power from 220 to 215/212 also came with a slight increase in torque.
