bad experience with a mazda6....
I recent bought a used 5 spd V6 w/63700 miles on it and I been dealing with all sorts of probs... The check engine lights on with a engine misfire code, the car's at times seen to be impossible to start even when I have my foot press hard on the clutch, engine mount no good, air intake had to be replaced, 3rd glear makes a "clunk" sound when I shift into it fast, wat else,..too many to list.
I thought i did everything possible before I made purchase expecially took it to a near by mechanic from the dealer and had it inspected. Overall, it's a nice looking ride but wich I had gotten a new car instead of used....*sigh*
btw, i heard that there's an adjustable switch for the clutch pedad so that i won't have such a hard time starting the car...anyone know where it;'s located?

Sorry to hear that my friend. This is my first post here, but many don't want to hear this. I have an '06 6i that I bought brand new. It appeared at first that the car was well built. I was wrong. It is total crap. The interior fit and finish is a joke and that plastic engine bay shield on the underside fell off after 5000 miles while I was driving and I ran over it. The auto 5sp tranny is as bad as the interior. I am stuck with it for now.

I just had similar issues. Misfire is probably a coil--this Ford engine is widely known to have coil issues. My 2004 was too far out of warranty so Mazda would not cover. I had 70k when it happened. Unfortunately coil was at back of engine, so lots of albor. Cost $350, would have been more from dealer. Note: plugs are NOT due for 60 k change, but at 75 k. If doing a rear coil do the plugs anyway at the same time.
