Default Can you convince me?

I have been in the market for small to mid sized sports sedan. The MS6 and Legacy GT have certainly been battleing this out. Both cars have their benefits, but what is killing me is that the MS6 has very little mods available. The stock suspension seems very stable, yet that's all I seem to be able to find for it. An induction is the only true engine mod made for the MS6 also. In order for this car to out perform the Legacy is to get it close to the 300hp mark. The subaru has lots of available mods and is faster than the MS6 from the factory. But, I love the lack of lag from the MS6 in the low RPM range.

Any suggestions or thoughts?

What kind of HP rating does the Legacy GT have? I've got a 99 Subaru Outback w/2.5L and it's slow as a turd.

I'd go for the Mazdaspeed6 myself. From stock you're only 24 hp from your magic 300 hp mark.

there are a few more mods then just induction for the engine i know that they have a turbo for it, im look for it right now, but i dont blame you for leaning towards Legacy they are very safe powerful and fun to upgrade, but then again EVERYBODY has one and for me i got my car originality, if you wanna go indepth you could find all aftermarket companies and do research on upgrades for the MS6 and compare and constrast.

Welcome to the 21st century. The LGT has 250hp from a 2.5L Turbocharged engine. It is faster than the MS6 because it's about 250lbs lighter. That 24hp is going to take alot of money though. I can be at 285hp on the LGT with just $650, and be at 300hp with about $1500.

Tracker, I have done extensive searches for parts on the MS6. I can't find anything that's really going to give me any horsepower without replacing the turbo. Do you have any suggestions where to look? All I have found was an intake and a couple generic exhaust parts. I am really wanting to find something to upgrade the AFR to get the best hp gains.

as of right now, for the mazdaspeed6, there are camber upgrades, brake upgrades, intake upgrades, preformance break upgrades, and lower spring upgrades. i've been checking up on mazdaspeed every now and then and their market is starting to slowly sprout into the huge economy. but as for now, those are the only upgrades you can get for the car unless you decide to go with a custom shop.

also forgot to mention that there is a sway bar kit as well as a short shifter for the speed6. in the near future, there will be a metra dash kit that will allow you to place a head unit in your car (in place of the stock one).

as for real performance upgrades, there are currently none out on the market that are dedicated to the speed 6 (maybe when more people are demanding more performance out of the speed6es when alot of speed6es are purchased, then the market will boom).

The MazdaSpeed 6 already has a turbo though.
