Car troubles
Hey guys, as you can see, first post is a help post, sorry for that. I have an automatic transmission 2004 Mazda6. I got it used in 2007 years ago, it now has over 88k miles on it, it had about 40k on it when I got it. The first 40k miles it had on it were "rough" as were all of the ones I put on it, at least compared to your soccer moms who don't exceed 45 mph.
I got it inspected 2 months ago, and since then i've had one problem after another with it. First I noticed rear right tire wasn't holding pressure so I got it fixed, it needed to be plugged. Then the A/C stopped working, which I ignored since it stays pretty cool here. This morning my car wouldn't start, so I looked at the battery terminals, and those were corroded. So I fixed that and went on my way.
As I left for class today I noticed that when I started the car the engine was at about 1250 rpm at idling rather than the normal 700 but it slowly went down to normal. Also, when I slow down or stop the engine falls below the normal 700 down to about 500, and revs a little bit, a few times until it stays at the normal 700. So I only saw the higher than normal rpm the first time I stopped.
I have no idea what could be wrong with it now, but I'd guess it's something electronic. It's it's a few weeks past due when I need to get it serviced again.
