Cleaning throttle body for mazda 6 2009 !
#3
Turn the key off. Disconnect the wiring plug from the throttle body. Be gentle when moving the throttle plate. Use proper throttle body cleaner, spray it on a rag/cloth and wipe the surfaces with the rag/cloth. Don't spray directly into/onto the throttle.

I'm not even up yet!
Instead of using a 2nd person to operate throttle, you could disconnect negative terminal on battery followed by a few brake applications. Loosen the throttle assembly, put down some paper towels to catch the fluid and replace the gasket. After hooking back up the negative terminal, let idle for 5-10 minutes and re-learning has begun.
While doing it, clean your MAF sensor! Spray the crap out of it and shake it air dry before starting.
Watch video, it's a Mazda!

1) disconnect negative terminal.
2) disconnect MAF sensor
3) remove intake tube before throttle body
4) remove throttle body slightly (no need to disconnect anything from it.
5) lay paper towels
6) spray with throttle body cleaner (not sure about carb cleaner!). You don't have to totally remove throttle body from engine bay, just make sure to catch the stuff so it doesn't go all over place, lots paper towels. Make sure to catch it on other side of throttle body. Best to replace that gasket/o-ring or whatever it is.
7) spray MAF, air dry with your arms
8) re-connect negative terminal, let idle 5-10 mins

Clean the Maf, put in good fuel injection, system cleaner.
Check air filter, maybe replace it.
Being it's a 2009, it's time to Change your PCV valve as Mazda never even checks it. It's not worth checking, just replace it.
