Default Connecting heated seats?

I have a 04 6s saloon and I want to connect up the heated seats. It has leather and the seats have the heaters in them, they are connected and there is a connector under the centre console that looks like its for the switches. What I don't have are the switches.

Does anyone know what parts I would need to do this or if it can even be done? The Mazda dealer has been no help.

Thanks

How many miles on the vehicle? Are these the factory heated seats? The switches should be located on the front face of the center console (directly behind and above the cupholder panel)

It's on 53000 now. Heated seats were an option when I bought it but I found out as it has leather as standard the seats all have the heaters in them but I don't have the switches.
It looks like it just needs the switches installed but I don't know if there is anything else needed. There is a connector directly under the cup holder that is connected to the seats. There is also a little blackbox next to the connector.

Leather or not, I am curious aswhy the heated seats were not connected toswitches when you bought the car?
The connectors you found could befor optional power seats.
Find out from the dealer where the heated seats switches should be, in the console or at the seats?

Thecar came with leather and electric seats as standard but heated seats were an extra. A bit stupid if you ask me!
The switches are supposed to be in the console near the back of the cup holder..
It really looks like it's a case of buying the switches, cuting a couple of holes or replacing the console and pluging them in.

The heated seat switches should be located on the front face of the center console. Mazda is pretty good about having some of the stuff in place to easily provide for the installation of optional equipment. (For instance, the wire harness for foglights is installed on all Mazda6's even though not all have foglights..if you buy their foglight kit, it's pretty much plug & play rather than having to install a wire harness.) I'm surprised the heating elements would be installed on a non-heated seat, but it is possible as leather is typically a high content vehicle.

It would interesting to see if anyone else has the same (heated leather seats but no switches)
Maybe someone who has leather and the switches could post a picture of the underneath of the passengers seat so I can compare? The drivers is electric and has the amp under it so much harder to tell.
It would really make sense to just makeone type of leather seat and fit to all cars...probably work out cheaper than manufacturing two types.

If the wiring for the switches was there, it would be physically under the main part of the console (I believe the pic you show is under the cupholder panel, correct?

Yes right under the cup holder panel, right next to where the switches should be.
The white connector goes to the cables under the seats.

It looks likeI need the switches and whatever else goes between them and the connector?
