Default Custom Headunit + Clock Display

Hi all,

I have a 2004 Mazda 6i. I recently installed a new headunit. I purchased the headunit and the Mazda 6 kit from Crutchfield. Everything about the radio is working fine. However, I'm having a few issues with the display.

- My clock is always slow. When I get home the other night, I set my clock one minute ahead. When I get back into the car the next morning, the clock was about five minutes behind. I haven't set my clock in two days and now it's behind by 20 minutes. Has anyone experienced that one?

- My temperature reading is rarely there, but it will show up every once in a while.

FYI, I have a Kenwood headunit with the extra Sirius equipment installed as well.

Thanks a lot,
Shane

Yes, the clock problem was in '04. Somehow I was saved from that w/my 3. Of course it"s never too late.
You can take it to the dealer and they should be able to solve that problem for you. But if you are out of warranty, it will probably cost you... something. An arm.A leg. Or if they are nice about it and you"ve owned the car since new (it doesn"t sound like it though) they might just do the fix for free!! Wouldn"t that be lovely.
Remember this is not a safety recall, in fact not a recall at all just a TSBso they are under no obligation to do the fix for you for free.

That's strange. So it just starts out of no where? I have actually owned the car since Oct '04. I just got around to installing a receiver. I just thought it was something brought on by the receiver/dash switch as I didn't have any issues with it prior.

Oh! This just started as a problem for you?
I had heard of the factory unit having this problem in 04 and 05 for the 3 and 6 series before, but if it began after you installed the new HU, I would certianly look there first.
